The 2006 Annual Meeting/Advocacy Day was held in conjunction with Preservation Action, and the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions (NAPC), March 12 - March 15 in Bethesda, MD. There were over 200 participants from 47 states plus the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and the Republic of Palau representing:
- State Historic Preservation Officers;
- members of Preservation Action;
- members of the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions;
- National Trust for Historic Preservation Advisors; and
- federal agencies.
Participants attended a variety of sessions, and were updated on important legislative issues (summaries are available below).
With this information, participants then made visits to Capitol Hill, meeting with their Representatives and Senators and advocating for these issues.
