Preservation Partners draft sustainability agenda
On October 29th, NCSHPO met in Baltimore for a charette including representatives from the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions, Preservation Action, the Society for Historical Archaeology and the American Cultural Resources Association. Together, we drafted an agenda for the next Congress and the new Administration to consider historic preservation as a driving force in the movement for economic, environmental and cultural sustainability. While the draft is still being finalized, we are confident that it will be an important document to help all of us work together to achieve our priority issues in the year to come. The document will be posted here when it has been finalized.
The National Conference of State Historic Preservation Officers (NCSHPO) is the professional association of the State government officials who carry out the national historic preservation program as delegates of the Secretary of the Interior pursuant to the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended (16 USC 470).
